Sassy Lacquer - Nutty As A...

So umm....yeah, I took these pics and was supposed to post them earlier, but I got busy...so here we are! This is 1 coat of Sassy Lacquer Nutty As A... over my previous manicure of Zoya Midori and Cult Nails Nevermore. It has gold micro-glitter and matte red, green, and purple hexes in a slightly tinted base. The slight tint of the base only affects pastels and white underwear.

So, is it any good? Of course! I usually have a problem applying glitter polishes from mini bottles, but I didn't have to fish for glitter or dip my brush back in the bottle to finish a nail. I didn't apply any topcoat here, but from the feel of my nails, I'm sure it would be smooth with one coat of Seche Vite or Wicked Fast. So my verdict - if you're looking for a great Christmas topper polish, I'm sure Nutty As A... will not disappoint. I'm dying to try it over red and gold...but right now, I'm loving it over black, and it even looks great over hot pink! You can purchase it and other great quality indie polish here.
Happy Polishing (and get shopping!),

Zoya Midori

I meant to use this polish a long time ago, I really did. I just got caught up with other polishes. After all, I do have over 800 polishes in my stash...I really need to destash. I wore Midori with accent nails of Cult Nails Nevermore, my all time favorite black. It dries so shiny and it's so sexy! Seriously, as pretty as Midori is, I couldn't stop staring at my nails that had Nevermore on them.

Both polishes together.

Zoya Midori
The deliciousness that is Midori! Look at that gold shimmer!

Zoya Midori
As if you weren't already drooling over this polish...

Check out the clean gap on my black nail! Ok...back to the polish now.
Zoya Midori
Golden shimmer....ermahgerd!!!

Zoya Midori
Ignore the weird tipwear and just enjoy the polish.
I used 2 coats of each polish. Nevermore was almost opaque in one coat, but I lean towards really thin coats, so I did 2 even though some nails didn't require 2 coats. If you usually do medium or thick coats, you won't need more than one coat. Midori is a 2 coater, but I flubbed up my index finger so I did 3 coats on that nail. Both polishes are topped off with one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast. I hardly had to do any cleanup, and I highly recommend both polishes for their phenomenal formulas.
Happy Polishing,

Lost In Space

Happy Monday...Or not. This weekend's mani was an awesome franken I purchased from SparklesbyJulie called Lost In Space. I purchased it using a coupon code that I have no idea if it's even valid, so I won't get your hopes up. Sorry! Lost in Space regularly retails for $10 and I got mine for $8, so it was a good deal to me. I'm rambling, aren't I? Sorry guys, I went through a whole bunch of drama and BS this weekend so I'm trying to stay away from that by incessantly talking about other stuff. My pics of this suck, and honestly, I think my indoor photos did a better job of showing off the polish than my sun pics.

It's a black jelly base with a bunch of teal holo glitter thrown in plus some larger silver hexes. This is two coats, no base color. The only reason I would advise you to layer this over black is because it does have that jelly quality where the tips get kinda see through, and it's really hard to wrap your tips with a glitter polish in the first place. Otherwise, this is totally opaque in 2 coats, and you don't actually need underwear.

Blurred holo goodness at Starbucks!
So I've run out of words for today, so I'll see you tomorrow with some Zoya goodness!

My Bad Luck Polish

Late Afternoon Sunlight
Meet 212-Sephora. When this polish originally came out, I heard so much about it I took a trip to Sephora just to get it. And my birthday gift from Sephora. I put this on once and decided I hated it. It sat very still in my tiny collection for months. As I expanded my collection this spring, I came upon this polish again. I ignored it for a few more months and decided to wear it this past week. I put it on Tuesday afternoon while I was at work over one coat of Wet n Wild black. I liked it better now because it wasn't as sheer, but I still wasn't in love with it. Wednesday was moving day for me, since I had to switch dorms for the summer. I ended up breaking almost all of my nails while wearing this polish. Now I have to grow them all out again because I have nubbins!! You'll see them soon. But if you like this polish, scroll down to see the rest of the pics.

Flakies are more visible in the shade.
May your fingernails never break,
J

Back with Black...Yes!

I have a whole lot of swatches and manis lined up for you guys, but I decided to show my first franken to you guys. It's really simple, just some NYC Black Lace Creme (it's a yucky black so that's why I used it) and some holographic glitter. If you click on the picture, you'll see another color on my thumb, but that's a franken for another time.
Here are some more pics up close:

Hope you enjoyed this!!! I'm off to write my other blog entries since I have about 20 new posts to write...I have plenty of material!
Happy Polishing,
